How the National Capital is Combating the Need for Luxury Homes

The urbanization in the national capital has created a large number of opportunities; but at the same time, offered certain challenges also. One of the gravest challenges faced by the city of Delhi due to fast progress and development is its ever growing population. People from the whole nation including small towns and cities heavily migrate to Delhi while searching jobs especially, in the private sector.

As a result, the current population of the national capital is 1.9 crore. By the end of 2021, it might reach 2.6 crore for sure. The present infrastructure in the city provides housing solutions only to 1.5 crore people. Under these circumstances, how will Delhi Development Authority manage to create residential infrastructure which meets not only the existing lack but also accommodates 90 lakh more people.

To make the situation from being further aggrieved, a Master Plan Delhi 2021 has been created. The principal vision of this mega plan is to recreate and redesign Delhi in a way that it provides residential solutions to more than 10 million people. Inspired by the same, the concept of Delhi Smart City has come into existence.

The gravest question which arises at this juncture is will Delhi Development Authority (DDA) alone translation this vision of MPD 2021 into a visible reality? If you look at the past record of DDA right since its inception many years back, then you will find that it could create only 4.5 lakh residential units. How would Delhi Development Authority (DDA) alone construct 14-15 lakh homes in such a short duration? The answer is simply no, and therefore it has come up with the most talked about land pooling policy which is popularly known as LPP.

Revanta Heights from the reputed Revanta Group is an appreciable step in the same direction. The township aims at providing residential solutions to the people of all income brackets with complete buying ease and convenience. The homes here are well capable of taking people’s lives to the next level and the newer heights of luxury, contentment and satisfaction.
